The SAFS is a non-profit organization dedicated to foster and advance friendship and goodwill between the people of the state of Colorado and Switzerland through social and cultural programs. We strive to serve all persons having a natural interest in the two nations.

Fondue Dinner &
SAFS Annual Meeting

The SAFS Fondue Dinner and Annual Meeting is early again this year on Sunday, January 26th at the Calvary Church in Golden.

Bring your own fondue pot and fuel, electrical pots are welcome as well. Price includes salad, fondue, bread, dessert, coffee and lemonade or tea for the children; please bring your own alcoholic drinks (wine or beer is welcome) and any additional ingredients to go with the cheese such as cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, etc. The lobby area will be open for sales of products, crafts, services etc. To reserve a table, please contact SAFS President Heidi Tornare by email before January 18th.

SAFS Membership can be updated at the Fondue event directly, in advance at our next upcoming Stammtisch or online through our existing membership portal. New members are always welcome, join our club online here.

The Annual meeting is also a great opportunity to join our board and this year, we are looking for a new website and Social Media Guru and Event Coordinator. Email us with your interest for these or any other voluntary position.

Prices for event is:

  • $35 for SAFS Members

  • $45 for Non-Members

  • $15 for kids 6-12 years old

  • Free for kids 5 & under.

Join the SAFS every third Wednesday of the Month for Swiss Stammtisch in Boulder County, for food, drinks, Schwiizerduetsch, and perhaps a game of Jass. For January, the SAFS visits Sanitas Brewing Company in the Lafayette complex known as ‘The District’, near South Boulder Road and Highway 287. Let’s support this brewery that took over the former location of FRBC and see what they have to offer!

Located within the same complex, delicious food is available from Kenny Lou’s Deli which includes a menu specifically for Sanitas guests. Check out the menus from both businesses through the logo links above and see you in the middle of January! Prost! 🍻

January starts the year 2025 out with five Wednesdays, which means it’s time to enjoy an evening with the Dufresne Family from our favorite Swiss Cidery in the Sunnyside neighborhood! Join us at the end of January for a tasty cider, a warm Glühmost or coffee and delicious European-Inspired food from the new indoor kitchen The Euroshack! Newly indoors means the menu can only get bigger, so stay tuned. In the meantime, visit Waldschänke’s website for their menu items and see you at the end of the month! 🇨🇭

As the weather gets cooler, we definitely picked a good weekend for a small pickleball event last Sunday! Small group, but fun afternoon on two of Clement Park's courts. Thank you Kristina for leading, teaching and of course, bringing the equipment!
